Can't stand it

I just wrote a long blog post about the restaurant I went to last night, but my Internet connection cut out as it was posting. I had saved it as I was writing it, because this kind of thing happens sometimes, but it seems that the whole thing just evaporated. Gone. %{*#+^{!

%{*#+^{!, indeed. Sorry that cyberspace did not cooperate with your composition.

I hope you find a more consistent connection one day madam!

I loved your last post by the way. The movie Hotel Rwanda was so heartwrenching and moving. I can only imagine how it must feel to be there knowing the history of the hotel and all the hope and heroism that happened there amidst the horrors outside!

Today madam is having better luck with Internet connections. I rewrote and posted (apparently successfully) the post that escaped yesterday.
The sense of history here is palpable. The exciting part is watching Kigali and other areas of Rwanda grow and change. In June 1994, Kigali was dead--buildings flattened, people slaughtered, survivors trying to get out. To see Kigali today, one can hardly believe it's become a "real" city again in less than 17 years.

Cyberspace failed to cooperate throughout the day yesterday. It's massively frustrating, but all part of being in Africa. The iPad is acting strange too, which I can only attribute to the slowness of my hotel's "high-speed" Internet connection. It's better than most, but still temperamental.
